William Jay Sydeman - Chakras DVD

A DVD with music and mandalas for meditation, healing, inspiration, and inner journeying.
In 1994 I came across an extraordinary set of mandalas painted by Gina Rose Halpern depicting the chakra system. From 1976 to 1978, I had lived in a Buddhist temple, and was well grounded in the Tibetan path. I decided to write a symphonic work based on these mandalas that could be used for meditation and healing. What emerged is this “Symphonic Journey through the Chakras”.

Each chakra has a tone and a color associated with it. As well, each chakra has an emotional basis. Put together, they cover the whole content of the human experience, i.e.... the grounding power of the 1st chakra... the vital energy of the second, and so on to the final union (yoga) with the divine of the 7th chakra. Indeed, working consistently with these mandalas and music is in itself a powerful spiritual path of personal evolution.
